History The Rift is a grand old late-nineteenth century Italianate mansion set on one of the early Bowral estates. The Coach House accommodated the coachman, horses and a foundry, and retains many original character features that reflect its rich history. Luxurious Country Retreat A gourmet kitchen awaits, and an outdoor entertaining area with bbq and deck chairs on the verandah for relaxing. More energetic guests can play croquet and badminton on the lawn, or wander down to the field for a game of cricket or football. There are gardens full of fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers to explore. Named for the geological rift at the base of Mount Gibraltar, there are bushwalking trails and scenic paths to explore nearby.
