  • Abergeldie Homestead, Burradoo

We are delighted to announce Abergeldie in Burradoo, has joined Highlands Private Concierge property management and property concierge service. Let us tell you a little about this grand country home...

The doors of Abergeldie, a grand home built in 1884 by Dr Edwin Chisholm, have now been opened up. We invite you to experience a slice of gracious country living in one of the Southern Highlands most historic and beautiful homesteads.

This boutique retreat offers luxurious accommodation immrsed in a majestic setting.

As you wind along the pebble stone driveway surrounded by 3.5 acres of established heritage gardens, roll down the windows to experience the fresh country air.

High ornate ceilings, expansive rooms with an eclectic mix of antique French and locally hand-made furniture help create a refined country experience.

Sink down in the leather lounges in the expansive entertaining wing, put your feet up and enjoy the quiet country serenity.

Settle around the gourmet French provincial kitchen (with gas stove) while the chef in your household creates delicious delights, set the 16 seater table for a grand feast, while other members cosy up on the informal lounges with a good book,  board game or merely watch TV.

For those special occasions there is also a 10 seater formal dining room, as well as formal lounge with open fire place.

After dinner relax in one of the many chesterfields in the hunting room, with a glass of port in hand,  dream away to the sound of another crackling fireplace. This room, originally a grand ballroom, is now equipped with a further smart TV.

Ducted zoned air conditioning throughout allows all year round comfort.

Should there be pressing work commitments, there is a well-appointed and cosy study.

The large bay windows allow light to stream into the open-plan kitchen, overlooking a large outdoor terrace, the perfect spot for a long family BBQ lunch.

Southern Highlands properties are famous for their gardens. Abergeldie will not disappoint. The gardens are filled with secret paths and quiet corners, century old trees and the intoxicating aroma of lavender.
