• Gunu Berrima

We are delighted to introduce you to Gunu Berrima.

A Tuscan style property nestled in the Australian bush

just outside the historic village of Berrima.

Gunu Berrima was built by Southern Highlands artist Richard Allen,

who lived and worked at the property for over 20 years.

As one might expect for an artist's residence,

the home is bathed in wonderful light and features,

along with creative and considered design elements.

In recent years, the interiors of the main homestead

have been re-designed by celebrated decorator Jason Sullivan,

who has created a contemporary-meets-classic house interior

which celebrates the artistic heritage of the property.

The native bushland 105-acre property is home to a haven

    of Australian wildlife.

The Tuscan homestead is engulfed by mature gardens

and a market garden producing a variety of fruit and vegetables.

Adorned with all the comforts of a holiday-house paradise,

guests can enjoy the great Australian outdoors as well as tennis

& swimming all from the privacy and comfort of the farm.

In the main living area of the homestead, soaring cathedral ceilings

offer space and tranquillity for guests.

Relax in the custom made linen lounges in front of the log fire

and enjoy the utter escape that is Gunu Berrima.

The stunning blackbutt dining table made by Rabbit Trap Timber

in Moss Vale creates a focus for fun gatherings of family or friends.

For those seeking a quieter space, there is a second lounge area

for guests to curl up with a good book,

battle it out over a board game or debrief

on the days game of golf or other Highlands activities.

The gardens offer any number of outdoor seating and eating areas.

A cheeseboard on the verandah, lounging around the outdoor fire

(in winter) or enjoying some local wines in the pool house.

In warmer weather, enjoy long sunny lunches under the Cypress

trees surrounded by the sounds of the Australian bush.

Gunu Berrima is perfect for bridal groups as it offers

an artistic and creative background for photographs
